Ross:

Dissent is a healthy thing. I recall many posts you made on other boards dissenting from all the foam over the Golden Pacific 2100, asking hard and informed questions and keeping on it like a bulldog biting down.

If you are prepared to voice you opinion like that, you *must* exepct it will be challenged.

Some disagreements and arguments become tiring, depressing, infuriating, frustrating. This is all too true. But there are many impassioned arguments that also can generate new ideas, new ways of seeing.

Leaving because you face disagreement doesn't seem a good idea to me. But do as you must.

And for everyone else, how about cutting some of the personality down? Nobody -- not Ross, not anybody -- is worthy of worship, and nobody here is worthy of despising either. We should be discussing the hows and whys of what we do, not whether or not Mr. X is the Elvis Presley preservation or Mr. Y makes me cry when he disagrees with me on the internet.

Or do I not understand the point of RYPN?
