I am pleased to report we had a meeting last night with City Council to apply for grant funding to cover the removal cost of the asbestos. The meeting went well and our new member of the group made an excellent presentation with both a short term plan and a long term business plan for the future of CNR 6069. A decision on funding will take place next month and once decision is known, it will pave the way for the restoration of 6069 to finally get underway!

Wonderful news regarding this elegant locomotive. Keeping the display in front of the public, making certain the engine is cared for, is the best anyone can do. Well done, and please keep us updated regularly.
