I just saw this story on my rss feed. I noticed that they claim 253 is the only full size steam engine operating in Florida. Last I heard she was still in need of a lot more work. Newspapers often get these things wrong and I'm sure this is the case.

When I read the article, it was pretty clear that it was being moved "in" a special train, and not under its own steam.
