 Post subject: Baldwin Xplorer Train

I had no idea this train was around into the 70's. I've not seen any photos of it in tourist service, it must have been a short lived operation.

Passenger Train Journal (current issue 2-2009) in an article about Ohio's proposed 3C corridor shows the train in service.

The locomotive in the photograph is in fact one of two locomotives that were built for the New Haven by Baldwin Lima Hamilton to power the Daniel Webster. The NYC RP 210 #20 had more of a pointed nose like a BLW Shark. All three: the NYC and two NH units ended up on the Pickens RR and were scrapped in 1970 or 1971 ?
