...at every museum I know.

So why don't you link a picture...
and show your festive lighting...
because Santa Trains are fun...
and bring you coal to your stocking!
(which is a "good thing," as says Martha).

New York Museum of Transportation's Holly Trolley Rides on YouTube. No snow last weekend, but nearly guaranteed for this weekend's rides.

Nice photos - especially the first!
Not only a nice Holiday card, but that would look nice in the gift shop.

Steamtown's Santa train at Moscow, PA. Saturday, December 5th. Started snowing upon 3254's arrival, snow cover's ground at departure. Very right for a Santa Train!

Sumpter Valley ran Christmas trains last weekend, but a mechanical failure of their 2-8-0 led to substitution by the Heisler. Lack of firewood resulted in cancellation of trains for the rest of the season. On Ngdiscussion:

Quote:
It was a difficult decision to cancel, but the OPS Committee decided there were too many obstacles in the way at this time.

We ran last weekend in harsh conditions and burned most, if not all of the available fuel for No. 3. Even in sub-zero conditions we had a good turnout and managed two runs Saturday and two on Sunday. Pipes and valves had to be thawed repeatedly during operations.

I was unable to get any photos during operations. This was the first winter run into Sumpter for No. 3. Old timers were pleased to see her doing the work. She performed flawlessly, and it was a thrill to run her.

Plan to join us next winter when we will be running No. 3 and/or No. 720.
