Anyone have a successful rebuild or replacement for window latches?

built circa 1917 for the DL&W by Pullman with "high
roofs". They were converted to electric MU trailers in 1930. We
purchased them from NJT in the mid '80s.

Thanks for any leads or ideas.

Perhaps the best source for parts for DL&W MU's and CNJ coaches is United Knitting Machine Co. (Yeah, I know... you'd never guess railroad parts supplier with that name!).

This company supplied NJTransit in the latter part of the car's careers. If you poke around enough on the cars, you'll probably see some components stenciled UKM. Don't know if they have the latches themselves or the entire window frames - in any event, it won't hurt to ask!
