Thought some members of the forum might find a few recent photographs of IC RPO # 402 at the old IC depot in Ponchatoula LA.... These pictures, ( taken the other day ) show the RPO, in its current situation... Of particular note, is the fact in my last few trips through this small town, the old time photo business located in the car has been closed, and to me, it would appear as though the car is no longer being used.. ( a bit of speculation being that I have been there multiple times and its always closed ) ...

Meanwhile, its an interesting car for sure, likely deserving of a better fate.... Car appears in great shape on the exterior, complete even with the mail hooks... Trucks are bolted pedestal, with Timken oil bearings...

( IC caboose 9956 also sits on the property, neglected with missing windows )

Anyway, thought a few members might find this of interesting.... I can post a picture of the IC caboose if anyone has an interest, or more pictures of the RPO... I can find out more about the cars ( availability ) if perhaps anyone has an interest...
