I have purchased and restored the Southern Railroad Bay Window Caboose X376. I am now preparing a website that documents the project from start to finish. I am looking for photo(s) of this caboose while it was in service. I believe its service was in Tennessee from the late 1970’s to 1993. If anyone reading this has pictures of the Southern X376 I would like to include them on the website. Please contact me at http://www.coppermine@windstream.net if you happen to have any that I can use or purchase.

Can't help you with your particular caboose, it's not listed among other Southern units here, http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsList ... d=1&Page=1 but you may want to consider adding a pic of yours to the list.

Looking at that list I didn't realize how many cabooses the Southern had owned!

I suggest 3 things:

a) Contact and join the Southern Railway Historical Association (www.srha.net)
b) Join the group "Southern_Railway@yahoogroups.com" It is a very informative group.
c) On this group, contact Warren Calloway. He has the largest collection of SR cabeese slides that I know of. He was able to help me find a pic of my cab, SR X-702. I would also recommend inquiring on the groups of Ken Marsh and Bob Graham.

Hope this helps!

I saw your Flickr album of the transit and restoration of x376, and really enjoyed it.

The x376 seems to have led a quiet life, but new old photos are being uploaded every day. Perhaps a photo of it will show up eventually.
