As stated, black is about the last possible variation in paint that could be placed on this locomotive.

But surely it is not authentic with a double chimney?

The Kylchap double-blast chimney was installed on BR 60103 in December 1958 at a cost of £153.

So, yes, it's authentic.

Indeed.... NOT authentic in black with a double chimney ! But my goodness does she look different in that livery. The wartime must have been pretty bleak all round.

I know, right? I thought that she had some sort of red trim with the wartime black though. Guess that wasn't the case.

It is great to see her again. The Black paint scheme is actually rubbing off me a little. It is not a plain black loco to me. I think it is dark gray almost. I like her without smoke deflectors. I'm happy to see her w/o them. That is going to change though as I understand they will be reapplied after she is repainted
