That's interesting about the aux. tender. I think he had another aux. tender while the 2100 was at St. Thomas, ON, and I never saw any reports about it going west, so I presume it is still there.

No Chris. It is the very same auxiliary tender that was here in St. Thomas. It went out west on the same train the engine went on.

Here is a picture of it YOU took in St. Thomas.... http://www.chrisjacks.com/2100082620003.jpg
And here is one of it out west somewhere..... http://www.gngoat.org/gn_tender01.jpg

Nothing new, don't expect anything new any time soon.

Should a serious buyer come along, I'm certain it could be purchased, though exactly who owns it at the moment seems to be open to debate.

At the recent NRHS convention, as soon as a person realized I was local, one of the first questions they always seemed to ask was the location and status of 2100. I told them what I knew (which isn’t much, mostly what I have read here). Ironically, most of them said that if the operation had lasted into the following year, they had plans on coming out to ride or chase it. There were a lot of nay-sayers when they got started, but I have to say having ridden it and chased it twice, it was a nice operation and was a very pleasant experience to ride as a paying customer.
