If the car used for this production was British-made, I wouldn't be surprised at it overheating. Many years ago I had a Jaguar (bought from a garage, presumably at a price to cover repairs that a previous owner had given up on). It would overheat on a 70F day, being much more suited for the cool, foggy lands of its origin.

Yikes! I really don't think it's a good idea to go 70 mph with improvised vehicles, especially not with speeder-weight vehicles. Those things love to pick switches and derail. NARCOA has the guidelines for this sort of things. To have an occupied trailer, that's just really scary. Trailers are the worst for derailing. I saw that the fast one had a rollcage but I wouldn't count even on that.

Now, I'm told on Grand Trunk Western, maximum authorized speed for a Fairmont A3/A4/A5 speeder was 65 mph. Having driven them at 40 mph, that seems just a wee bit fast.

I'm also concerned they improvised the wheels. There's no reason to do so; Fairmont sells either stamped or cast wheels in 16" ($275 stamped) or 20" ($1200 cast). (cast are used on tampers, stamped on speeders and larry cars.)

I really pity the approaching engineer coming upon the scum class bathroom, whether in use or after use....
