The drapes were provided to Budd by J.H. Thorpe Company are are described as Copper #24983. It appears that J.H. Thorpe has been out of business for a long time.

There are people out there who do custom inkjet printing of fabric.

I found this one via Google

Tim,

Mid-Century Modern ("MCM") is hip again. You might be able to find soemthing similar if you look toward that direction, the purveyors of the new/old hip and modern furniture and whatnot. Just a hunch.

I can not tell from the photo if the pattern is a print or a weave. I would guess it is in the weave, which can be reproduced, especially if you have a surviving piece of the fabric. These can be done the old fashioned way, or with the help of CAD and computer controlled looms (interestingly, some of the tools of early computer programming were developed to control Jacquard looms in the 19th Century).

A number of companies do short run fabric weaving, and some specialize in historic reproduction work. Google can easily lead you to a few of these.

The one here has a minimum order of 18 yards and can make carpets as well.

Given a second look, they could very likely be prints. The ink jet printing option is pretty affordable. Most of the work will go into putting the design into a CAD system. Go for accurate reproductions!

I have some CRI&P drapes that measure 31" H x 22" W. No idea whether these were dining car or coach drapes. Obviously not your EL print design, but may provide guidance as to construction if you have to start from scratch. Made from fairly heavy material that has held up well over time. Detailed photos attached.
