I pulled Mitch's original post, and the responses, albeit probably too late.

The reasons I pulled it are:

1. Mitch had never posted before and we have no idea who he is.
2. There was no corroboration of anything he was saying.
3. I see no reason why anybody would need to remain anonymous to report this, unless as suggested by others, the actual problem was an attempt at covert disposal.

I personally put no credence in the report at all.

I ask our regular, more responsible, visitors to understand this is an open forum, and it is kept that way by the will of the majority. And, we're going to get stuff like this.

Oh now I understand. I searched for the post that was referenced by Superheater and couldn't find anything, and I'm wondering to myself what in the heck is he talking about. I like to draw my own conclusions but can't when the info. has been removed.

While his original post may have been inappropriate (I will never know), it did bring about some discussion that I felt was very helpful. The entire hazardous waste problem could be handled much more inexpensively and sanely if the Federal Government had not gotten involved, but thats what happens when you place your faith in govt. to handle your problems. So now we have to live with the higher insurance rates and higher costs caused by govt. interference.

You are on the money about that thread.

There are a handful of East Coast-based GG-1's, so IF the story were true, there is a very limited number of groups it could be about.

If it is true, the group can come forward if they wish.

Thanks for keeping the anonymous rumor an endangered species on RYPN, we are all better for it!
