I have an original 1871 copy of The History of the First Locomotives in America by William H. Brown; New York: D. Appleton and Company.

This copy is autographed by the author. The binding is rotten.

I will give it to someone of good and moral character who can put it to good use. You send a self addressed and posted envelope. Tell me what you would do with it.

The copy we have at the Maryland Rail Heritage Library at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum is in very poor condition, and is the 1874 revised edition, 254 pages, with the inserts taped nearly a century ago by all appearances. But that means we have it.

The RR Museum of Pa. has a couple copies in their holdings.
