Wow, this saddens me greatly. When we had Q&E #4 housed there, I spent many a pleasant hour working on Ol' Slobberface, sometimes into the late hours of the night.
We had a great base of volunteers who toiled tirelessly to keep the engine on the road.
When I learned today of the roundhouse's demise, I called Francis Ede (Q&E Pres.) to give him the news, he said, "he was surprised it lasted this long". Francis, who is 90, now lives in a nursing home.

I went by the facility last night. Then engine house is still standing. Looks the same as it has for past few years. It's in sad shape but still there.

Although it is aging about as gracefully as Lindsay Lohan, it still stands as of this morning. Behold!.....
