Figured I'd give my own version a shot...

Back in law school I had a criminal procedure professor who was very repetitive in telling stories to the class. After noticing this, I made bingo cards and passed them out before class. To claim bingo and your prize (I believe it was a case of beer), you had to raise your hand in response to a question, or ask a question and incorporate "bingo" in your question or answer.

About 15 years ago I was a member of an Army Reserve railway unit and one of my fellow reservists was an employee of Ed Metka, working for him in a small metal shop. According to this fellow, Ed was collecting old trolleys because he was convinced the day would come when vintage trolleys would be in great demand for new light rail systems, and he (Ed) would have a good supply of them to sell. I think we're still waiting for that day to arrive.

The metal shop eventually went out of business and my friend was lucky enough, at that time, to find a job on a civilian rail crew at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point near Southport, NC, where our unit went for annual training each year. Eventually he retired from the Reserve but continues as a MOTSU raliroader. Back in PA, the trolleys still wait for their day to come.
