GWR 296 has ended up at the Heber Valley Railroad in Utah.

And I think some of the rolling stock was listed for sale on Discover Live Steam.

As of late May, the crane was still stored in the same location as the linked photod shows it.

The crane is a hard sucker to find even though it's not that far away from the other cars. It's located southeast of the museum on the other side of a hill. There is what looks like an abandoned mining facility and the crane is just south of that. The coordinates are: 40o01'45.97"N 105o12'38.93"W . Hope that helps, I'm not too good in dealing with coordinates.

Thanks Charlie,

I managed to find it. The land it sit on is highly contaminated with uranium and othe heavy metals. That may be the reasion the crane is still there. Hope it doesn't get torched.

That particular boxcar is no longer at Philmont. I have no idea where it might have gone, but something that might interest everyone here is the fact that Philmont is building a railroad in the mountains to show and demonstrate to the hikers what a mountain/logging railroad looked like. The camp is called Metcalf Station and the interesting this is that the boy scouts are actually building the line piece by piece.

I think I saw on another forum that the GE center cab is now at Georgetown Loop RR, to be converted to narrow gauge.

Anybody know what happened to the D&RGW 04990 Outfit box car that was at Sundown & Southern before Valmont?

Also there were some D&RGW gondolas, that came from someplace in Wyoming? They are now flat cars.

I am glad to hear the C&S #608 is going to be worked on at a new home.

Thank you Jason for all your hard work now and in the past.
