Since the trails are 100% subsidized (my tax dollars at work) why not let them kick-in for the added liability ?????

Has anyone ever calculated a "cost per rider" for a trail ... when we get to the great outdoors and the quietly accepted use of tax dollars for such a widely acclaimed bucolic pastime there are no questions asked ...things like liability and maintenence costs are just "handled". Should private enterprise or a dedicated group of trail buffs attempt this it would be shot down in a minute!
