If I'm correctly remembering the Mallory Hope Ferrell Gazette series from 15 years ago...

They built two stub end sidings at a T to the C&L main at Mt. Gretna, with a second switch tied in that connected to a turntable and a small, rustic enginehouse. The yard was laid on a slight gradient; rather than run around the train, the locomotive would uncouple at the yard limits and the train would be coasted downhill into the station using handbrakes while the locomotive was turned and prepared for the next trip.

To the best of my knowledge there was never a wye at the C&L station (at least on the narrow gauge).

No wye at the station, Robbie, but on the way up the out of the creek valley where the line splits to the rifle range and Governor Dick. Appears to be a cut there which isn't shown on the maps. Almost seems like it would be necessary for a full round trip, though.

You got a little ahead of me on the station area but that's okay. LOL Here's the rest of the narrow gauge line in the lower left on the adjacent Lebanon quadrangle from 1889...

Cornwall & Lebanon #12 on the turntable with the enginehouse in the background. There is a chance this photo was taken the same day as Robert Coleman's last run as I have a feeling that particular locomotive was his favorite...

LIDAR Hillshade maps are awesome for finding stuff. Here's the station area where you can still see the turntable pit. The standard gauge roadbed is wider here as there were multiple tracks in the vicinity of the passenger station...

Here's an ad published in the Lebanon Daily News shortly after the line was completed...
