As a group we definitely can be a pain in the posterior ranging from gentlepersons to geeks and thieves. Make sure we respect privacy and private property. I understand this attitude completely once having RR equipment stored on private propertry, unless you have "been there" again respect the right to privacy and private property.

I must respectfully disagree; private ownership is not imcompatible with serious preservation, as owners of historic houses demonstrate all the time. Nor are the owners of such houses obligated to give tours on request.
