Two very interesting links. Thank you for bringing them to light.

The catalogue would appear to date from around 1920. The French 2-8-0's built by Vulcan Foundry were constructed in 1919. The last of what became class 140C was not withdrawn from service until 1975. A number are preserved, I think two are servicable. A Vulcan, 140C38 is preserved at Caen.

Regarding the Chinese 4-8-4's, apart from the one at York N.R.M. which was presented by the Chinese government another is now on display at the newly opened railway museum in Beijing.
