Nice bike. This topic sounds worthy of a whole 'nother thread- railfanning and motorcycles. I haven't had an opportunity to combine the two yet, but it's certainly a possibility. Not sure I'd want to try chasing steam on a bike though; the cagers can hardly avoid the other cagers, much less 2-wheelers!

I used to combine motorcycling with railroad work when I was located in New Orleans. My favorite Saturday ride for work was from Slidell to Ponchatoula where I would radar Amtrak 59. From there is was to Boutte to radar the Sunset and prior to one of the schedule changes that put Train 58 out of NOUPT earlier, I could make it back to Mays Yard to check the northbound "City of New Orleans'" speed. All done on the Harley and I got paid mileage! Sometime I'll relate the story about the day I stopped the "Sunset" while I was on the Harley. It won me the "nickname" Bronson from the on-board service crew.
