Thomas certainly still holds a lot of appeal. Last year, at the WW&F Railway Museum, a small visitor asked to look at the front of our Plymouth diesel. He returned absolutely crestfallen, almost wimpering, and said, "It doesn't...it doesn't have a face."

On March 22nd, the HITmen announced that a new Thomas TV series is now in production. Look for "Thomas and Friends" to hit the airwaves (or cables, or satellites) later this year.
They also stated that the US is their greatest market potential, and is already by far their greatest revenue region, and growing.
Their biggest source of revenue - all those consumer products they sell at DOWT events and retail stores.
