Went to Train Fest yesterday. Got rained on the first ten minutes, but stopped for the rest of the day. #33 haveing some last minute problems, but they are still working on her. Met Rich Melvin, and Ross Rowland. Great Guys! Ross engineered 1293 for our one hour ride. Great time. Sad to hear Jerry Jacobson's loss of his Father a couple of days ago, so he wasn't there.
No problem with parking, great displays of the train items. Pouring down rain right now, but getting ready to head back. Well worht getting wet to see the big steam!
Planning the next Train Fest for 2006, wish it was going to be next year.
Thanks to the Ohio Central, Ross Rowland,Rich Melvin, and ALL who are making this a fantastic Weekend.

Thanks for the update. I think many of us that couldn't make it are out here waiting for news.

I am planning on a blitz trip up there tomorrow and hope to see the 6325 from Columbus in the morning, visit trainfest a little bit, see one 1293 trip, and try to catch the e-units toward Columbus on the way home to Cincinnati. Should be a 500 mile day. If all goes well will report on Monday. Very humid here in Southern Ohio today. My glasses fogged up both times I left the air conditioning. Good thing I shoot video without the glasses, eh!! :)

Rode behind the 6325 to the Morgan Run shops. It had a mechanical close to the shop (hot bearing). It stayed behind when we went back to Dennison. Saw the 33. Not done yet, but looking great. Parked in front of the 1551. Like to see that old gal under steam.
About the only grip I had all weekend, was there needed to be better directions to the train rides. Saturday, we asked staff where to board the 3 hour train to the shops. After waiting 20 minutes, almost got onto the Columbus train. And a few more trash cans . But for the first year, It was fantastic! Many thanks to the Ohio Central and EVERYONE involved. Well worth getting rained on.

Have there been any changes in the tentative schedule of the return trip of Mr. Levin's PRR Special on 8-2? Is it still projected out of Columbus 7-8 a.m.? Thanks. Jim Tighe, Galion, OH.
