For sale by Ozark Mtn. railcar. Pretty rare head end car. Would be nice to eventually reassemble an authentic train behind one of the Rock Island 4-6-2s.

I know we've kicked this around before and I think that Mr. Zuiderveen will chime in here but I seem to remember that to convert to rollers but retaining the friction journal box lids and look will disqualify the conversion for "Amtrak compatible" standards - yes?

Yes, this is true, as this violates AAR standards as it masks the journal from the hot box detectors.

It is not because it wont "see" the journal, but one of the two main technologies runs an "average" of the passing journals; and it kicks these out for being ouside of the average.
