It may be hard to believe, but next year marks the 50th anniversary of the end of locomotive production by the Baldwin locomotive works. I would like to put together a powerpoint presentation for exhibition at "select locations".

The premise of the slideshow will basically be an expansion upon the points made by Albert Churella in "From Steam to Diesel" about why the old steam builders didn't survive, with as much expansion as I can obtain and make palatable for a general audience about the financial condition of the BLW.

To that extent, I am looking for digital images that I can use related to Baldwin's late steam production, and its diesel products.

Images can be pictures of locomotives, scans of sales material, financial and operating reports, pictures of Eddystone/Lima, reports from customers detailing specific issues, etc. or anything else that might be useful in discussing how Baldwin went from being the biggest to non-existent. If you can suggest sources to obtain copyright grantable or public domain images, that would also be appreciated.

If you can share such an image, I'd appreciate it. You will be properly credited and alerted to opportunities to see the finished product.

I came upon this Baldwin on a cruise in 1999.

Tom;

Did you get to see the Jamaica Govt. Railways 4-8-0 in storage in Kingston, or the pair of derelict Porter 0-6-2T engines at the former sugar mill in Golden Grove, Jamaica?

Sadly I did not get chance to track down any steam.
