PORTA TREATMENT
The Authorised supplier of Ing. L.D. Porta’s Legendary Water Treatment

* In the spring of 2007 the advanced internal boiler water treatment regime known as ‘Porta Treatment’ (PT) will become commercially available to steam locomotive operators in the UK and the rest of the world.
* ‘PortaTreatment.com’, also trading under the name ‘Porta Treatment’, is the only authorised supplier of the regime outside Argentina. Authorisation comes direct from the Porta family. No other authorisations are to be issued; previous agreements have lapsed.
* ‘PortaTreatment.com’ is being run by Martyn Bane with technical back up from the only steam engineers and chemists in the world with experience of this regime. Notably this includes Ing. Shaun McMahon, based at Rio Turbio, Argentina, who has over a decade’s experience with PT, working closely with Ing. Porta himself for many years.
* Two versions of PT are to be made available:
o A version suitable for all-steel boilers
o A version suitable for boilers with copper component. It is VERY important to realise there must be a difference.
* Both versions include the as yet undocumented enhancements made to PT since 1996 by Ing. Porta and Ing. McMahon.
* All profits made from the sale of PT are to be invested in further steam development work the world over, including forthcoming projects in the UK.
* PT offers a reduction of up to 92% in the cost of boiler ownership1. This is achievable due to the regime’s major functions:
o Zero fouling (scale and mud)
o Zero corrosion
o Zero caustic embrittlement
o Zero steam contamination
