Pictured below is newly restored Railway Express Agency express boxcar # 7375, owned by Horseshoe Curve Chapter, National Railway Historical Society. This car was recently restored to original condition by Millenium Rail Services car shop, Hollidaysburg, PA in Amron paint, following meticulous specifications by their dedicated crew personnel.

Horseshoe Curve Chapter NRHS has placed this car on permanent loan with Railroader's Memorial Museum, Altoona. The car is seen at the museum on December 20, 2006 sitting on the museum's newly installed turntable. This car will complement an evolving exhibit on the Railway Express Agency at the museum.

Earlier in 2006, Railroader's Memorial Museum purchased a 1940 Chevrolet Railway Express Agency delivery truck, which is currently under restoration with the assistance of Horseshoe Curve Chapter, NRHS. The Chapter is undertaking much of the work on the mechanicals of the vehicle and has provided new rubber. The museum will then complete the cosmetic restoration. The museum also currently has original Railway Express Agency baggage cars commonly found at railroad stations.

The turntable is 105' in length, a combination of two sections. It was formerly used on the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac RR at Potomac Yard, and more recently on the Virginia Central Railway, Staunton, Va. The turntable and pit, are the focal point of a soon-to-be constructed 7-stall quarter roundhouse on the eastern perimeter of the table. The table is a product of Bethlehem Steel Corporation from the 1920's and it's restoration included much volunteer help by Horseshoe Curve Chapter members over a two year period. The installation was completed in September, 2006.
