Ok , I don`t have to prove anything eles, I told you this in the begining I was told about this locomotive from a friend that worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He is now 82 years old. If you don`t want to help I really don`t care. I`ll get someone eles to help I know lots of people. If theres someone out there once the fulll credit, so be that. all I know is that the Lord knows whats in my heart and to me that is what counts.
I could care less about any of this idel chat. I`m a kind of person that radder do something then just sit around and talk the case over and over agin. as they say " talk is cheep". Oh and A.D.M.IV I could care less that you have done micro film more then once, Big deal, who cares, I surly don`t and I`m sure others out here feel the same way. What makes you feel so special? that you can call jugement agance me. Ahh the last time I look your not God. Oh and to Fritz . I moderate over on Railroad.net in Pennsylvania Railroad, Norfolk Southern and Reading and Northern. and if you feel you want to pull this thred so be it . at this point I don`t care. I am tired of trying to prove that I`m telling the truth with people. as of this post it will be my last one . I now can see what Mr. Rowland was talking about over on Chaski. Good by.

Umm..... Who are we talking about here? Len? Me? Anyone else who has identified an interest in this project? Be specific. If this was directed toward me it was totally unfounded. We are NOT conducting business. We are doing a volunteer project. No money is changing hands. Let me be clear: I DO NOT CARE WHETHER THESE ENGINES ARE THERE OR NOT! If they are not there I will tell you after I actually go and see for myself. If they are there, I will also tell you and we will have something fun to talk about. Short of that, I suggest you all go get scuba certified and go take a look for yourselves! Man, I can't believe what a negative turn this thread has taken or why. What do you guys care what we do? Either someone is going to get embarrassed out of this or we are going to find something cool. Why don't you guys just cool it, sit back and enjoy the show? Someone I greatly respect in steam recently told me that railfans can be terribly negative and that they just love bad news. I didn't believe him, but I'm beginning to. I had never known Len until this thread and I don't care if he is lying. I'll just find out on my own instead of taking someone else's word for it. As far as our looking for acceptance or new friends or whatever, that was a totally ridiculous comment and I am not going to dignify it with a response. I'm not getting anything out of this except getting to dive a new dive site that not many other people have dove and the chance to possibly make an interesting discovery and to do something of value with my diving which is what I live for, and that is it! I'll thank you guys to just stop this ugliness, please...

As a side note, a perpetual calendar will show that November 16 in 1961 was a Thursday, not a Saturday, so one of the three pieces of information supplied to identify the newspaper article -- the day of week, the date, or the year -- is flat-out wrong, leaving it open to scrutiny. "Trust but verify" is right; this is not pickiness. The original poster should not be offended that sincere-minded historians ask for verification.

At the risk of sounding like the resident naysayer of the bunch, after the uproar it's caused here and elsewhere, I'm beginning to think we should let the blasted thing lie where it is, if its even there. :-) I know a certainly KING-size engine collecting dust and rust in a warehouse not far from here that could use this much attention!

Anyway, keep your heads guys, we're all friends here.

Bleepity-blankety-bleep. [smacks forehead with palm]

I have two "perpetual calendars" in my desk drawer, and I didn't think to consult them.

Lessee........ 1971..... Nov. 16 is a Tuesday.........
1981: Monday...........
1962: Friday........

Okay, I second the motion on convincing the Canadian National to allow former B&LE 2-10-4 643 back on the former Bessemer & Lake Erie main line under steam, preferably with a Carl Franz-organized photo charter..........

On third thought......... maybe digging a PRR B8 out of a quarry MIGHT be easier....... >;-)

I think this horse is dead enough and I'm locking the topic to prevent further beating.
