I wonder if the concern about liability is justified or just an overreaction. What are some examples of companies being successfully sued for injury incurred by someone purchasing their used equipment from a third party scrapper?

If I were a company genuinely concerned about this type of liability problem, I would not trust a scrapper to destroy my used equipment.

Why the heck are you bringing common sense and appropriate questions to a discussion about liability and potential litigation, especially in the United States where litigation has replaced baseball as a national pastime?
