The three locomotives in question were built on the chassis of Vulcan gas mechanical industrial locos with streamlined shrouds reportedly done by the Cagney firm. The three are Vulcan b/ns 4255-4257, shipped 2/39, 5 tons, 36" gauge, originally fitted with Hercules JXA 6 cyl engines rated at 49 HP. They were identified as "Gimbel's Flyer" during the fair. All 3 were sold to Kennywood Park after the fair and have been there ever since. Two of the three were rebuilt in recent decades with modern industrial engines and automatic transmissions. The one being sold was, as the description notes, used only as a display piece. I cannot relate the Kennywood road numbers 1, 2, 3 to Vulcan b/n's. I consider it a remarkable piece of survival, existing to 2007 in essentially original condition.
