There were at least a couple Stillwell coaches at East Troy back in the TWERHS days. I can't remember if they were privately owned or not and where they went from there. There's some old 8mm film out there of them running with TM locos and even MILW Cedar Rapids when it lived there for a short time.

Has at least one Erie Stillwell been preserved AS AN ERIE CAR, and not as a consumable, expendable passenger car??

The Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum has Erie 2328 in its collection, mentioned previously. Built in 1926, it made its way into work train service as EL 489008. It was retired by Conrail and sold to a scrap yard in Elmira. The museum acquired it in 1986. Some initial work was done on the exterior side panels. Since the interior is gutted, we occasionally use the car for extra workshop space.

Thanks to a donor who reached out to us earlier this year, we are in the process of planning the repair and restoration of this car to full operation over the new couple of years. Stillwells saw occasional use on the Rochester Division, often paired with a Doodlebug as a trailer. The Stillwells also made appearances in Western New York for weekend railfan excursions co-sponsored by the Erie.

The Erie Doodlebug at Ohio Railway Museum would be a good addition on the Rochester Valley line. Not sure if it is still available, though it was on the list of deaccession pieces.

Note that this gas-electric is also in the Stillwell family. It was discussed here previously:
