I'm posting this for information, not to open the door to GBX bashing. They have recently posted this on their Facebook page.

Looks to be a very nice car. Those ACF-built UP cars seem to have held up well, especially when taken care of. I hope it finds a good home.

I believe the Facebook page referenced is actually a railfan page and not an official GBX posting.

As a note, that is NOT a genuine facebook page. It is a "fan" site run by someone who has been banned from this and just about every other forum for impersonations and bogus postings.

Facebook page now has disclaimer reading:"I'm no way connected to the GBX , I'm only a 16 year from Long Iland, NY.",

Recent posts by myself and at least one other RYPN'er have been deleted....

But no matter how loud he decries his innocence, its HIM...the biggest "Shanerism" of all is still there, for all to see....

Mr. Rowland's Brother Bob was on this page as a member for some time, So he should had let his supper Ego Brother know it was a FAN PAGE! I was asked by a friend through Facebook that I would take this page down , because Mr. Rowland ask him to ask me.

If everything I posted here which is from off rypn is BOGUS I guess Mr. Rowland is BOGUS TOO because I copied what he posted on there.

"Fan" pages like that make no sense to me. It only confuses people and really serves no purpose other than to irritate others.
I guess some people get a really early start on being foamers of the curmudgeonly sort. In the internet age, those people get a voice anyway when in the past, the clubs would just turn their backs on them and they'd eventually fade away... Anyone willing to bet that by the age of 40, he'll still be living in his parent's basement (and will be able to recall sci-fi TV shows by air dates) and driving other train buffs nuts?

Someone needs to teach that kid about respect and manners. Maybe he should spend less time on Facebook and more time on English homework. I hope Ross gives him a good run for his money. If I had ever talked like that to my elders I'd a had my backside beat.
