We have a couple of 'lizards' mounted on the tenders of GW75 and UP618 to power the sprayers (and Breeden 2000) used for fire suppression during the fire season. As firemen, we have to be cautious in opening the valve to power the 'lizard' in that in opening too quickly or too wide, the output has blown flexible sections of line--making the fire suppression non-functional on that run!!

I have a "lizard" (Worthington 3x2x3) we installed as a "backup" on my traction engine...It gets used more than the injector because it requires less fuss, will run at 15psi, and can be set to almost perfectly match water (steam) consumption. The only drawback is, if you get a spectator asking questions, its rather easy to forget to turn off and it WILL pump the boiler clear full.
