I knew I had a file on the Hamilton Creek operations. Here is some information on scrapping the line.

West Coast Lumberman John 1937
Alaska Junk Co. (Schnitzer & Wolf Machinery Co.) Portland, Oregon recently purchased all of the rails and logging equipment of the Columbia River Tbr. Co. in the Columbia River Basin, in Skamania County Washington.

The Timberman August 1939
This gives an account of R. M. Hegewald building an eight mile road up Hamilton Creek to get to the abandoned equipment and the remaining timber in Murphy Basin. He removed the incline hoist, three donkeys, a tank car and two locomotives.
