Two N&W Y6b's were scrapped in Roanoke about this time. It's crazy at least one of those didn't get saved.

I agree...thankfully we still have the Y6a 2156 and the Y3a 2050 at the IRM.

The MILW modified old tenders into MoW cars, such as snowplows. I have seen pictures of these cars from the late 1960s, so I presume it was these modified tenders that were scrapped in the mid-1970s.
