I wonder how much of this was part of the permanent collection.

Some of the equipment named may have been brought onto the property for storage by individual members. At one time, many railway museums were willing to accept non-donated equipment on the property. The were several reasons why this occurred at museums across the country. And there are many reasons why this failed.

The owner(s) of each piece of equipment is clearly shown. If PSRHA or NWRM isn't listed the car was privetly owned. In many cases cars were bought "for the museum" with and understanding (or hope) that the buyer would be repaid sometime. As often as not this never happened. The core collection consept came in long after most of the Snoqualmie collection was gathered.

- BCER S-103 is still on the property as far as I know, or at least was a year ago, albeit in rather less-than-pristine condition. looks like serious restoration, cant tell if its wood frame, steel frame with wood siding that deteriorated, whatever..

Getting the equipment to a safe place certainly was a priority despite ownership.
