Re: the linked newspaper article on the establishment of a "train trolley" to revitalize Sedro Wooley, Washington's downtown (for only $122,000!): Is this the line where they once ran the little Seattle Power & Light 2-6-2 some years ago? Is the track still there or gone?

The BNSF line thru Sedro-Wooley is formerly part GN(running sothwest of town to Burlington and connection with the Seattle-Vancouver main) and NP(generally north to the Canadian border at Sumas.)The GN tracks at one time went farther east to Rockport where the connection to the Skagit River Railway(Seattle City Lights railroad) was located. All track is gone from Sedro-Wooley eastward.

The No. 6 is on display in New Halem, in nice shape, but basically a jungle gym amusement for visitors and their kids. Climbing up on top of the engine to ring the bell seems to be the biggest draw of the poor engine. She sure is pretty though.
