HMMMM, that late Jersey Central color is now way too light to be Swift Red so we'll be looking at this one again here real soon also... LOL

The Dodge Truck Special Paint Colors collection does include Omaha Orange as Chrysler DT5077...

The Lehigh Valley may be the only railroad entity which used both WE5884 and WE5880. WE5880 does generally appear to be slightly more orange compared to WE5884 so it may be a little more heavily tinted in that direction as well.

Chrysler DT3031 is a later Socony-Mobil bright red which is a very good match to DuPont 58209 Chevy Truck Cardinal Red in the 1967 brochure but that color's supposed to be DT3144... LOL

Then, I tried to adjust the truck picture to match the raw paint samples picture since we know exactly which colors, DT5077 and WE5884, they're supposed to be...

Cardinal Red is a Soo Line color and chances are pretty good the Canadian Pacific uses it as well...

One more good look at what should be WE5884 Socony Red on the New Haven...

Yeah, that could be Cardinal Red on the Jersey Central or perhaps even Scarlet since they're almost identical to each other but we'll save that one for later...

Meanwhile, the previous Soo Line red color would appear to be Swift Red or something almost identical to it... LOL

Now, I wasn't lying to Sammy when I mentioned that Swift Red is like a typical fire engine red. Swift Red is at the bottom on the left side of the center fold next to the punch hole. The very similar American LaFrance Red is there also along with a lot of others of varying shades. Texas Red, a.k.a Texaco Fire Chief Red, DuPont 674, was the most popular red color for emergency vehicles at the time of printing according to the brochure. None of the light and bright reds like Scarlet and Cardinal Red are present, however...
