Rest in Peace to Howard Jones, 1952-2023, reported on social media today. Howard lived in Wolsztyn, Poland and was the man many of us worked with when taking part in the engineer training program. He was a great guy and lover of steam locomotion.

I've been involved in steam-related railroading for a lifetime and met many folks. Howard was on of the best, a first class bloke. He will be missed.

Maybe it won't work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

Sad news indeed. Howard was a top bloke who went the extra mile to help us while we were in Wolsztyn in 2019. Will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

RIP.

This is indeed a sad time. Howard treated my Son and I to a wonderful time while visiting Poland. He went the extra effort getting us to non railroad related destinations as well as cab rides in the general railroad system across the country. Thank you Howard, we appreciate all you have done for fellow rail enthusiasts all these years. God Bless you and your Family.

I'm very sorry to hear this. I was able to partake of the Wolsztyn Experience a couple of times. Probably the best (only?) such experience in the World. It was all due to the hard work by Howard Jones who had the vision to put it all together. I hope it will continue now that he has gone. Condolences to his family.
