Unit doesn't get used much so thinking about applying a corrosion inhibitor on the screws

Whiting older drop tables were made in 2 basic styles the: Model A the screws are stationary, and the nuts turn in gearboxes the Model B the screws turn, and the nuts are stationary. Tables were designed with 1 ,2 or 4 screws and various capacities and lengths up to 150 ton cap. and 25' long.

Used 90# SAE oil for Gear Cases use steam Cylinder Oil for screws and nuts.
Most older models use Cleveland Worn Gear Speed Reducers
The Drop table at CSRM we used Molybdenum Grease on Screws and Nuts, but the screws need cleaning of the dirt that mixes with the grease especially after setting for long periods.
There is a limit of wear for the screw & nut vertical play. Whiting also sells a gage for checking the screw wear.
I have a couple of different Whiting drop table sales catalogs, Lubrication Charts and repair parts manuals.
Just as a note last time I contact Whiting was charged a couple of $100.00 for three digital drawings of a drop table. Years ago, they would send assembly drawings for free.
Whiting Parts are very expensive.
Backchannel me and I can digitalize some of the Whiting Information and send to you.
Also, years ago a company- United Knitting Machine sold replacement nuts at about 1/3 price of Whiting. One place that I know of that had a Whiting Drop table with worn out screws, nuts and gearboxes converted it to Joyce Screw Jacks and modern commercial gearboxes which was much cheaper than Whiting parts.
