The video is well edited and worth watching.

I'm impressed they got authority to run a steam engine through the subway. Well, London did have steam-powered subway trains the Aussies are a "can do" bunch.

A little like taking NW 611 up Saluda. Not somewhere it would have ever gone normally, but an interesting stunt. Very well done video. I especially liked the written descriptions of what was happening and the history of the route. I knew the Harbour Bridge was the same design as Hellgate, but I did not know that it was meant to be a direct copy of it, and I've been across Hellgate dozens and dozens of times as an Amtrak employee, but not in almost 25 years.

The bit about the Harbor Bridge being a direct copy of Hellgate was one of those "duh" moments where I felt like a moron. Despite living in Noo Yawk for 20 years and walking across the Harbor Bridge in 1993, I just didn't make the connection.
