Greetings,

I am in the process of producing my next saga of episodes for the Revival Steam Podcast. I hope to use the album Whistles in the Woods by the late Stan Kistler. He passed away last year, but being aware of the copyright, I know his family still retains the rights to the sound recordings he made 60 to 70 years ago.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get permission to use these sounds?
Thanks.

You might try The Center for Railroad Photography and Art, as a first step. https://railphoto-art.org They have some of his materials, but refused parts of his collection. If they don't have what you're seeking, maybe they can point you in the right direction. Best of luck to you.
