I am a Lifetime member of the 2926 outfit which has just finished a 15 year restoration of that iconic 4-8-4 and their just issued monthly newsletter states that they are fitting the engine out so that it will be fully PTC compliant.

That's good news as it certainly broadens her possible operating horizons.
