This from my personal recollections circa<br>1946 or 1947.<p>However, I doubt very much that anything like a private railroad car was<br>ever brought to the US. Rick;<p>Some German railway equipment did make its way to the states after the war. They included a 'Kriegslok' (BR50) with a condensing tender, a diesel trainset similiar to the "Flying Hamburger", and the one-off "V-8" steam locomotive 19.001 (see link below). All went to Fort Eustis, VA, where they were examined then scrapped in 1952. Don Ross saw them there just prior to scrapping, and descibes them at http://donross.ralspot.com/dr109.htm.
