Post subject: Terminal Station Mural
PostPosted: Fri Oct 29, 1999 7:39 pm

Hi,
We are trying to confirm whether or not a large mural once hung in Atlanta's Terminal Station roughly between the 1940s and the early 1960s. The mural, which showed people picking cotton, was taken down in the 1960s because it was thought to be politically incorrect for continued display.
If anyone has a photograph that shows this mural in the background or a copy of a letter or other document which discusses the mural, the Southeastern Railway Museum would appreciate knowing about it, or better yet, seeing a scanned copy of it.
Thanks,
Malcolm Campbell
