As part of CNR 6167's cosmetic restoration I am trying to determine the appearance of the dial missing from one of 6167's air brake gauges. I have photos of the gauge before it was vandalized but they do not show the gauge very clearly, so I was wondering if anyone out there has an identical gauge they provide a photograph of which we can use as a reference to make a new dial for 6167.

The gauge is A T. McAvity Main Res./Equalizing Res. Air Brake Gauge with a 0-200 PSI range. The scale is similar in design to the Westinghouse Gauge shown in the 6-ET manual, but all the other information is specific to McAvity i.e. the "World" logo etc.

Also, we could use measurements on the needles.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe;
I'm working out of town until May 5th but shoot me a note and drop into the HCRR once I'm back. I have needles and some faceplates for 3-1/2" duplex gauges.

Regards,
Gord

Found an identical gauge!

For reference sake, here it is:

Also included, is the 3.5" McAvity Brake Pipe / Brake Cylinder gauge of the same design.

Note that the scales and numerals are the same design as the corresponding Westinghouse 6" and 3.5" air brake gauges that normally accompany the 6-ET system (and as depicted in the 6-ET manual)
