These carts were towed to the auto shop I worked at growing up in 1983 when UP abandoned the Sun Valley Branch and have sat inside storing engines and equipment ever since. I've had them for about 25 years. I cleaned and serviced the closer one and used it as a cart for a Miller Bobcat welding machine when not in my truck for a few years up until about 10 years ago. It is equipped with Hyatt straight roller bearings - I assume the other is as well. The solid rubber tires range from very good to pretty chunked-out, but all roll well. The other cart has a bit of a swayback, probably from having an 8V92T & transmission on it before I acquired it. They can be towed as a set around the yard behind your pintle hitch equipped vehicle - each has a receiver. The frames are weldaments and some square head fasteners are used. The original paint and UP markings are original as they were in last service with the UP. I'm looking for a good home for them to go as I am downsizing. Location is Sandpoint, ID.
