See attached for the Conrail GP15-1 as built air brake schematic. These units were delivered with J-1 Relay, four cylinders/truck, clasp brake, and cast iron shoes.

Some units were modified with the F1 selector valve removed and MU2A replaced with a dual ported cut out cock and at the same time converted to high friction brake shoes with the the application of a J84B relay and filling piece with inshot portion and double check valve.
