Greeting all,

I have need for some info regarding the Barber swing motion caboose trucks. My organization recently acquired the MP 13777 shorty bay window caboose. The previous owner did not properly handle the trucks when they offloaded them off the trailer that transported them from Brazoria, TX to Cresson, TX. It appears they used either an excavator or some other piece of equipment that when used to life, pulled the side frame partly off the bolster. This in turn caused the wheels to become unseated in the side frames. The transport company inspected the trucks and said that they would likely make the trip to our yard. Well, they did exactly that, yet no sooner than it was fully in our rails, the truck fell apart. So now we are in need of either an exploded parts diagram or anything else pertaining to the Barber swing motion caboose trucks.

Our plan is to jack the caboose up and drag the parts out from under the caboose so the truck and be reassembled and the wheels reseated in the side frames. I would appreciate any help y’all could offer in this situation.

TIA,

Gary Rodriguez
